I was born in Brooklyn to non-practicing Jewish parents, sent to Hebrew school at the age of 8 and learned to read and write Hebrew in preparation for my Bar Mitzva. I became a Christian at the age of 30 and started out as a Catholic, then Southern Baptist, Community Church, and now a CBF Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA.
I have studied both the Old and New Testaments and countless books and online resources on the life of faith. I have come to the conclusion that Jesus never intended to start a new religion. He was trying to revive an old one and running into stiff resistance from the established leadership. I believe there is more to consider.
Friends encouraged me to share my thoughts, writings and questions. I was auditing a course at McAfee School of Theology, and the professor read my term paper outline and felt a website for geeks seeking this type of thought was timely. He loved the idea of calling it Geek Theology. It was at his suggestion that I started this site.
